~ LA Music Awards Nominates Taylen
for Female Vocalist and Pop Artist Female 2013 ~
Hollywood, CA – July 2nd, 2013 – Hailing from Sydney, Australia award nominated singer song-writer, Taylen (www.officialtaylen.com) is Australia’s hottest new emerging teen pop artist. This talented young Australian singer has just been nominated in the categories of Female Vocalist and Pop Artist Female, during this year’s 23rd Annual Los Angeles Music Awards Nominee Night and Press Event, which was held at the world famous Whiskey A Go-Go in West Hollywood, with the final awards night being held November 14th at the glitzy Avalon in Hollywood.
Her unique style and blend of fun hip-hop and pop music, along with storytelling lyrics, often compared to Katy Perry and Cher Lloyd, has garnered Taylen with several award nominations including Australia’s 2RDJ-FM and Triple H FM’s ‘Stars Of Tomorrow’ as well as ‘Pop Song of the Year’ at the 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, making her already an international teen pop sensation.
“When I heard that I was nominated in the 23rd Annual LA Music Awards, it was such an unreal feeling. I had butterflies and it’s such an honor to be a part of the same event as previous winners Gwen Stefani, Will.i.am and many more.” enthused Taylen. “ Being recognized in the music industry is a big deal for me. It’s been a dream of mine since I was little, I sang along to The Wiggles, and I now feel one step closer to young kids singing along to my music, which is a dream come true.”
Taylen is currently in Los Angeles mixing the dance versions of her songs ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ and ‘Drive’, as well as teaming up with a successful LA production company for the filming of her music video ‘Drive’ at various Hollywood and Venice Beach hot spots. She anticipates both songs, and their music videos, will be ready to release this summer on iTunes and YouTube.
“When I’m not in the studio working, like any teenager I enjoy all the delights a California summer has to offer.” says Taylen. “And gosh has it been a hot one so far! I love the 1950’s American fashions, the rock ’n’ roll cars and slurping a good old fashioned milkshake!”
Taylen’ s songs to date showcase her songwriting abilities with lyrics and themes that reflect on who she is and the moments in her everyday life. She expresses her own journey through the entire creative process and feels that most teenagers around the world can relate to her and her songs.
Apart from singing and performing, Taylen hopes that her music will provide a new means to give back to her community in Sydney and other charitable organizations from around the world that are close to her heart such as The National Breast Cancer Foundation.
