Irvine International Film Festival held January 10th – 16th with 15 Oscar Possibilities

Los Angeles, CA (December 31st, 2013) – The third annual Irvine International Film Festival (www.irvinefilmfest.com) opens January 10th, 2013 at the Laguna Hills Cinema in Laguna Hills, California with 15 Academy Award-winning possibilities.

During the seven days the festival will feature 70 films, many of which are Oscar contenders, including two documentaries ‘The Act of Killing’ and ‘Lion Ark’, an investigative documentary that leads to saving lions. Actor Ed Asner, winner of seven EMMY Awards will accept the IIFF Lifetime Achievement Award as an actor, John G. Aveldson Academy award-winning director of ‘Rocky’ and ‘Karate Kid’ will accept the IIFF Lifetime Achievement Award as a director. Caroline Sunshine, who wowed audiences for three seasons as the villain ‘Tinka’ in Disney’s ‘Shake It Up’ will accept the Emerging Teen Actor Award during the IIFF Awards Show being held on January 16, 2014. Teen star Cole Jensen of Disney’s ‘Crash and Bernstein’ is also slated to attend and will be doing a special ‘meet and greet’ with fans on January 11th from 12:00pm – 2:00pm.
